Shakespeare adaptations

I find this film adaptation of Hamlet to be rather interesting. It was made in 2000 with Ethan Hawke playing Hamlet. Heres a short clip to give you an idea of its... differences if you will.

The way the framing is done in this scene brings to mind what Kirsten was talking about in lecture about the framing in little women.

  2. This is another Shakespeare adaptation. Its of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Its a movie called A Midsummer Night's Rave and it is a modern day adaptation of the play which uses the chaotic environment of a rave to substitute for the confusing nature of an enchanted forest and the mind altering effect of drugs to replicate Puck's magic spells.
